FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Art Water Bottle - Olafur Eliasson

Celebrate sports, art and culture, and embrace sustainability with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ art water bottle, designed by Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson. The artist's design refers to his new site-specific artwork, سفر الظلال في بحر النهار (Shadows travelling on the sea of the day, 2022). The circles on the label show the arrangement of the twenty interconnected, circular pavilions in the desert near Doha. The parallel lines that crisscross the label are known as Ammann bars, a complex pattern that Eliasson has worked with since 1998. The math behind the Ammann bars was only recently discovered, but they may have informed the geometrically sophisticated patterns found in Islamic art. Based on a five-point star, Ammann bars appear symmetrical and unpredictable at the same time.
