An eco-wooden tray inspired by Louis-François Cassas' "The Sphinx and the Great Pyramid of Giza" (1798, watercolour over an etched outline). Louis-François Cassas was a distinguished French landscape painter, sculptor, architect, archeologist and antiquary, born into a family of artisans. This artwork is part of the exhibition "Lusail Museum: Tales of a Connected World" in Qatar Museums Gallery, Al Riwaq. The exhibition puts a spotlight on world-class collection of Orientalist art, archaeological artefacts and media from antiquity to the 21st century.
