A candle holder inspired by the "Folio from the Blue Qur’an”, a Museum of Islamic Art object. Written in golden kufic letters on an indigo-dyed parchment, the folio was part of one of the most extraordinary Qur’an manuscripts ever created. Probably inspired by luxurious Byzantine manuscripts, its original place of production is still debated and is thought to be either Andalusia or North Africa.
