Thames & Kosmos - Coding and Robotics
Put your thinking cap on and meet Sammy, the peanut butter and jelly sandwich that’s actually a robot! Sammy is going to introduce your child to the world of coding and engineering, without the need of a computer, tablet or smartphone – meaning you don’t need to worry about your child’s screen time. By using an optical scanner and physical code cards, Sammy can be programmed to execute a sequence of manoeuvres. You can then watch as the robot runs its programme on a map of large grid cards by moving around, turning on its LED light, interacting with other objects you’ve built, play sounds and respond to action cards. In addition to Sammy, there are five other stories and robots you can build – a mouse in a maze, a penguin wandering in a zoo, a football player scoring a goal, a fire truck putting out a fire and an assembly robot in a factory setting. The Thames & Kosmos – Coding and Robotics comes with a 64-page manual and 417 pieces.
