Bring a piece of Haute Couture into your home with this A5 postcard of the Suzurka-San coat, designed by John Galliano for the House of Dior. The coat in embroidered and hand-painted linen formed part of the Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2007 collection and is today housed at the Dior Héritage collection in Paris. Galliano, who spent 29 seasons at Dior, revitalised the brand’s creations with a theatrical and extravagant approach. The Suzurka-San coat was inspired by perhaps the most famous piece of Japanese art in the world, Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa. As such, the postcard carrying the image of this piece of fashion history well deserves its place in your home, bringing to life the spirit of Dior’s Haute Couture of the just recent past.
