Audubon Birds Pop-Up Cards
These pop-up cards animate four distinctive birds from by John Jay Audubon (American, 1785–1851). Whether you use them to correspond with nature lovers or art aficionados, these clever, graphic cards will be a welcome surprise to your recipients. An artist, an observer of nature, and (most famously) a birdwatcher, Audubon made 435 watercolor paintings for his pioneering 1839 publication. Four exquisite lithographs by John T. Bowen, after Audubon, provide the inspiration for the inventive notecards in our set. This card set is part of a series of merchandise that pays tribute to Sheikh Saoud Al Thani. Sheikh Saoud began collecting natural history because he was fascinated by animals and especially for rare and extinct species. Set contains: 8 cards (2 each of 4 designs) boxed with envelopes. 4 3/4'' x 5 7/8''
