Bring a piece of Haute Couture history into your home with this A5 postcard of the Djellaba, designed by Marc Bohan for the House of Dior. The ensemble consists of a djellaba in tuile embroidered with Lurex chenille, beads, strass in gold and green, and a long strapless dress in organza, formed as part of the Haute Couture Autumn-Winter 1966 collection, and is today on display at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Bohan had a long and fruitful career at Dior, at which he spent 29 years as the creative director. He presided over 57 Haute Couture collections with a common trait of simplicity, elegance and a rejection of contemporary fashion running through the veins of his style. As such, the postcard carrying the image of this piece of fashion history well deserves its place in your home, bringing to life the spirit of mid 1960s Haute Couture fostered at Dior.
