André Suréda was a French painter, designer, engraver and illustrator; he was one of the best Orientalist painters of his generation and was from a noble Spanish family. This artwork is part of the exhibition "Lusail Museum: Tales of a Connected World" in Qatar Museums Gallery, Al Riwaq. The exhibition puts a spotlight on world-class collection of Orientalist art, archaeological artefacts and media from antiquity to the 21st century.
