This enamel mug, perfect for taking on camping trips, is inspired by the Mal Lawal 3 exhibition at the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ). Mal Lawal is Arabic for “from the old days,” and is a Qatar Museums’ community-led contributions shaped biennale that draws a connection between the old – the private collections that exist in Qatar – and the new, the original works of art being created by Qatari artists today. While the exhibition promotes the importance of acquiring and developing a personal collection that will benefit future generations, it also offers citizens and residents unique souvenirs reminiscent of the old days.
