A candle holder inspired by the "Flask", a Museum of Islamic Art object from Italy, Venice, from the 9th century AH (15th century CE). The glass flask is commonly referred to as a pilgrim flask for its association with similarly shaped vessels in leather or metal that were brought back by pilgrims
returning from the Holy Land. Inspired by Mamluk examples, it was made by glassmakers on the island of Murano (Venice).
