The Mercato in Oriente image celebrates the colours and opulent grandeur of the bazaars that were popular during the Ottoman Empire. Our A5 lined notebook features on its cover this wondrous image that was captured by the famous artist Alberto Pasini. The image was exhibited as part of the of the "Journey into the world of the Ottomans" Exhibition. The exhibition featured artists from the 16th century including stalwarts like Bernardino Campi, Jacopo Ligozzi, Nicolas Rycks, Jean-Baptiste Vanmour. The artworks illustrate the history of the orientalism development which is thought to have influenced the Ottoman world in Europe.
