Mawater Taxi Grey T Shirt

Enjoy taking a trip down memory lane with this stylish T-shirt featuring a vintage Cressida car, which was used as a taxi in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Taxi owners bought the license plate number at a price equivalent to a plot of land today. These taxis did not have a fare metre. The driver gave an approximate fare based on the destination area. These taxis roamed the streets of Doha with their unique orange and white colours until 2004. This T-shirt, one of a range of three designs, supports the Mawater Exhibition at the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ). The exhibition showcases twelve cars used by the public in Qatar between the 1970s and 1980s.
