A softcover notebook inspired by the flower from the Emperor Shah Jahan (r. 1037-68 AH/1628-58 CE) on the Peacock Throne, from the royal album of Shah Jahan, a Museum of Islamic Art collection. The portrait, painted and illuminated in Govardhan, India, depicts the fifth Mughal ruler seated on the Peacock Throne which he commissioned on the first day of his reign, 28 Jumada I 1037 AH/4 February 1628 CE. The throne was made of enameled gold and inlaid with several hundred diamonds and precious stones and placed in the audience hall of the emperor's palace in Delhi.
