This lovely A5 Notebook, carrying a blue coloured motif is a creation of Mashael Al Hejazi, who is a Qatari photographer focusing on capturing the remnants of old Doha, which are slowly disappearing. Her artistic photographs are produced using an old technique called blueprinting, which has almost ceased to exit.

Al Hejazi was a participant in the 2019-2020 Artist in Residence program at the Fire Station - a contemporary art space committed to supporting artists through its programs.

This object (calendar) is inspired from the nomads and travels in the desert. The white marble tents could be placed and rearranged to set different dates on the wooden calendar, that resembles the land. This calendar invites the person to be a nomad of time, placing the tent on different dates, maybe a special memory from the past, or a promising date in the future or just setting it to the present day.
