Porcelain Magnet – Sheikh Saoud – Ox

This porcelain magnet is inspired by an artifact collected by Sheikh Saoud Al Thani and is part of a series of merchandise that pays tribute to the upcoming exhibition: 'A Falcon's Eye.' This magnet takes inspiration from a tile from the 2nd Millenium BC. Sheikh Saoud's legacy as a collector is of crucial importance to Qatar Museums as he laid the foundations of the major collections within the institution. Sheikh Saoud’s passion for antiquities covered parts of ancient history, such as Egypt, Bactrian, Greek, Roman, Assyrian, South Arabian pre-Islamic and pre-Columbian period.
