Adults Charcoal Workshop

An engaging charcoal workshop hosted by visual artist, Rehin Kader. Rehin is a self-taught artist and has been practicing his craft for over 35 years. He has exhibited his artworks in art galleries around Doha and has been actively conducting workshops for art enthusiasts and students.

Workshop Outline:
Session 1 (Saturday, 10 June): Introduction and discussion of workshop outline. Understanding negative and positive space, composition, gesture, line quality and continuous line drawing.

Session 2 (Saturday, 17 June): Proportion, placement and depth. Relationships in space, planes and geometric forms, gesture, composition, abstract and use of value to establish relationships.

Session 3 (Friday, 23 June): Review and understanding one and two-point perspectives, proportion, placement and depth, and use of a grid in perspective.

Session 4 (Saturday, 24 June): Volume and weight. Value modeling, tone and shading, three-dimension illusion, use of various lines and presenting students’ final artworks.
