Kids Charcoal Workshop

A kid-friendly charcoal workshop hosted by visual artist, Rehin Kader. Rehin is a self-taught artist and has been practicing his craft for over 35 years. He has exhibited his artworks in art galleries around Doha and has been actively conducting workshops for art enthusiasts and students.

Workshop Outline:
Session 1 (Saturday, 10 June): Introduction and workshop outline discussion. Students will draw using a reference of their choice.

Session 2 (Saturday, 17 June): Negative and positive space, composition, gesture, line quality, use of values. Students will draw an object (boxes of pots) using a reference.

Session 3 (Friday, 23 June): Drawing proportions, shading, blending and contrast techniques.

Session 4 (Saturday, 24 June): Drawing a self-portrait (students should bring their reference photos).

Age limit: 5 to 15 years old

•    Masterstroke Filbert Brushes
